We had no crown molding at all - it just wouldn't have worked with the sloping lines and modern vibe of the house. I don't think it would work on a mobile home, either, and for the same reasons. The best way to choose trim for your house is to either match it to the style of your home or to choose a contrast color that will really make the trim stand out. You can also choose to paint the trim a different color than the walls to create an accent wall. Plaster is another popular trim material, as it can be custom-shaped and installed to give trim a distinct look. Plastic and vinyl trim products are also popular, since they are durable and typically much easier to maintain than wood.
The S trim level is another popular choice and typically offers sportier designs with exterior enhancements such as sport-tuned suspension and styling upgrades. Inside, the S trim often comes with additional luxury features, such as heated leather seats and a more powerful audio system. If the crown molding is in good condition and you like the aesthetic, it can be a simple way to add a touch of grandeur to your home. Crown molding adds a touch of elegance to any room and can be used to create a visual break between different areas within a home, such as the living and dining rooms. It can also be used to add a touch of character to any space. Crown molding is generally used for capping walls, pilasters, and cabinets, and is used extensively in the creation of interior and exterior cornice assemblies and door and window hoods.
Features commonly found in this trim include larger engines, high-end safety systems, and a generously equipped infotainment system. The style of baseboards can vary depending on the type of home and the individual taste of the homeowner. Current popular options in baseboards include traditional, modern, and contemporary styles. With its timeless appeal and the ability to make a room look larger, crown molding remains a popular option in modern homes. You may want to look at some of the modern track lighting systems, you could probably change the lights out yourself and save a ton of money. Adding crown molding to a kitchen can be a great way to add a touch of elegance and increase the value of your home. Crown molding is a decorative strip of trim that’s commonly used to cover the joint between the ceiling and walls, adding depth and texture to the room. In addition to adding a decorative touch, crown molding can also hide unpleasant gaps, imperfections, and transitions between walls and ceilings. Crown molding can also be used to create the look of a tray ceiling, which is an upscale and elegant option for larger rooms.
As a rule of thumb, the "public" areas have the most impressive trim and the lesser rooms have a smaller scale or simpler style. If your house is small and you would prefer a unified look with all the crown moulding the same, you could do that too. I like a larger scale moulding myself, and it should balance with the baseboard and window/door trim size.
